Hello, blogging friends! I hope you're doing well on this fine December day! We don't really have winter weather here at the moment, but I think that some of you might be enjoying some snow? Or not enjoying it, as the case may be. ;) Whatever your feelings about snow may be, I think we can all agree that snowflakes look good on cards, right?! And that's what I've created...come and see!
I started this card by creating the card base with patterned paper by Recollections, white seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and turquoise ribbon from Stampin' Up!. I then started to create the main focal panel by stamping a background onto white card using the Holiday Artsy stamp set from STAMPlorations. I added some sponging to the edges, some faux stitching with a Sakura glitter gel pen, and then a layered punched snowflake, bits of bling (sequins from my stash, rhinestones by Want 2 Scrap, and liquid pearls by Ranger), and a sentiment from the Holiday Artsy stamp set.
I then added this stamped and textured panel onto some gray card stock from Stampin' Up!. Before adding it to the card base, I added a few more touches. I added part of a doily from Stampin' Up! to the right side and a couple of little punched banners (punch and card from SU!, sequins from stash, liquid pearls by Ranger) to the left top corner.
I then added this panel to the card base with some dimensional foam to add more interest to the card. I think this turned out prettily--the colors are wintry and fun without screaming Christmas, you know?
What do you think?! I'd love for you to leave me a comment and let me know! I hope you also come and play along with the fabulous challenges I'm entering, as well! Thank you for stopping by today! HUGS and happy stamping, friends!
